Musashi is one of the main protagonists of the manga, Orient. He, along with Kojiro and Tsugumi, embark on a journey to form the best Bushi of them all.

Appearance

Musashi has blue eyes and short, spiky red hair. He is a lean young man with an average height and has a well-built physique due to his training. He wears an open black shirt with white designs, sports baggy, high-calf white pants, and black-and-red shoes that seem to be based on the sandals of the original samurai.

He seems to be quite popular with girls as many have looked at him and thought that he was handsome.

Personality

Musashi is a very cheerful person who always cares for others. From the beginning of the series, he has proven to be someone very determined since he firmly proposed to be a Bushi along with his friend Kojirou. However, because he was afraid of what others are going to say when he heard that his dream was to be a Bushi, he decided to hide it while being judged by Kojirou for doing it. However, when facing an Oni for the first time, he demonstrated what his true dream was when fighting alongside his friend.

On many occasions, Musashi has shown great appreciation and concern towards those he considers to be his friends, for example, together with Kojirou, they managed to save Tsugumi from her adoptive father by taking her with them on their adventure.

History

Musashi's past is categorized first by his orphaning early in life and life with his foster family (Kojiro's Family) leading to the events of the story. ( I have yet to record the events predating this I'll finish A.S.A.P - ChubbsCrocodile.) In Chapter's 28,29, and 30 it's shown that before the events of the story, flashing back to tatsuyama town showing Musashi's mother and father's dead bodies. he is sent to live with his relatives who told him to do nothing and if not they would punish him severely with beatings and words. like many others his "foster family" (Editor's Note:) that's how i'm going to refer to them) ordering him to hurl a stone at his adopted father as well as telling him he's better off dead, that they would accept him if he did, the onyx goddess using this moment in an attempt to keep Musashi there with her forever telling him he isn't needed and that he'd just be a hindrance to his friends, but in Chapter 30, unlike Chapter 39 show's what Musashi was thinking during that interaction, that maybe if he did what they asked maybe he'd gain recognition and be born anew as a part of their family, but did the cause justify the means???, The Onyx Goddess telling him that his dream is not to become a Bushi but to stay with his friend Kojiro, telling him it was just another means to an end just as that stone was so many years ago. Just like the Kitetsuo he so desperately desire's. She tells him not to resent her, but that she is just showing him the terrors of his past to crush his will to fight that if he did she'd be taken by those people which is why she believes them to be the same following up with telling him that he need not fight oni anymore.

Equipment

Nameless Kitetsuo :

Powers and Abilities

Black Sword Soul: Although much more akin to a status, Musashi possesses a sword soul that is colored black and as such, he is unable to wield a kitetsuo. Although, he later overcomes this setback while popular belief had stated that those with those possessing one being unable to wield one. Although it is actually the "Onyx Goddess", the black giant which had been seen ripping apart Musashi when he had taken the test as it believed he was unworthy referencing back to a time in his past at which he had turned his back upon Kojiro's father by throwing a stone at him that he would become accepted into the community he was now being raised in due to the fact he was no longer living with Kojiro and his family believing that due to this Musashi only did such things for his own gain, believing that it would just be discarded given time as another step in his quest to become a Bushi.

Trivia

  • Musashi is said to like women who are too old because in the abstinence training that the miners received, they could not notice the girls of the town, so he and his companions only noticed their old teachers.
  • Musashi, after shattering his pickaxe/makeshift weapon and failing the sword test twice, had overcome the Onyx Goddess claim the kitetsuo the nameless black soul swordsman gave him in an attempt to kill himself in an attempt to force him into creating black crystals that would consume him that he may create the "Strongest Kitetsuo" allowing those forsaken by the "Onyx Goddess" to wield kitetsuo of immense power bypassing her test as it had been forged by the soul of another becoming their own governing force creating the Nameless Black Soul Swordsman over powered "cheat weapon" powerful enough to slash a volcanic metal -forged prism the size of a 20 storie high skyscraper. Putting on full display the power of sword soul forged kitetsuo (Damn, writing down all of this is tiring -ChubbsCrocodile)
